How quarterly market prices and minimum payments turn solar feed-in arrangements into a focused, commercially viable review.
How do these four analyses build a market view?
Each window links an official source to the entities involved, the attributes that change the decision, the evidence required and the acquisition channels to test. The sector page moves from regulatory signal to opportunity portfolio without confusing developed potential with confidential results.

Where is the next buying decision taking shape?
Two roofs with the same installed capacity can earn very different amounts from feeding electricity into the grid. One property uses much of its generation on site; the other exports at midday, when market prices may be lower. Since 1 January 2026, where a producer and distribution network operator do not agree a payment, federal law refers to the average market price over a quarter. Minimum payments also protect certain photovoltaic systems below 150 kW, with rules that vary according to factors including capacity and self-consumption. This market insight looks beyond a single tariff by connecting the contract, capacity, quarter-hourly profile, self-consumption, guarantee of origin and project cost . A focused review compares three scenarios: retain the arrangement, shift consumption or change how electricity is marketed. Observable triggers include a new quote, an expiring contract, a tariff reduction or a roof portfolio. The review promises no return and never presents a statutory minimum as guaranteed income. General analysis updated on 7 August 2026. It does not replace a network operator’s offer, an investment calculation or case-specific advice.

Turn a market change into qualified demand.
In February 2023, 94 Swiss photovoltaic projects secured support in the first auction. The figure sounds reassuring: more than four out of five applications received an award. Yet that ratio concealed the more dangerous decision: how much support should a project request per kilowatt without making the installation impossible to finance or deliver? A lower bid improves its ranking but reduces the support available. A higher bid protects more of the project economics but may fall outside the available auction volume. This market insight reconstructs that dilemma from the official 2023 results and explains it using Pronovo’s published 2026 process. It follows the route taken by an actual project owner: eligibility, bid preparation, ranking, decision, construction and payment. It also identifies a concrete initial engagement that a specialist can sell before submission—without promising an award or presenting a grant as revenue. General analysis based on official sources available on 6 August 2026. It is not a substitute for a technical study, financial or legal advice, or Pronovo’s decision.
